You can optimize the energy efficiency of your entire home with support from Aire Serv and Energize Delaware’s Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program. This coordinated whole-house approach boosts your home’s energy efficiency, comfort, and safety.. The program provides comprehensive, integrated solutions rather than making piecemeal improvements. From sealing ducts and insulating the attic to upgrading to an energy-efficient heating & cooling system, the goal is to help you make your entire home more energy-efficient and comfortable while saving you money.
STEP 1 – Start with a Home Energy Assessment with Aire Serv of Middletown. Call us to schedule your appointment. The Energize Delaware co-pay is $50 for the assessment or $25 for income-qualified customers.
This Home Energy Assessment is REQUIRED to secure your eligibility for program incentives before the work can be performed.
STEP 2 – During your Home Energy Assessment, you can have your Aire Serv energy advisor install up to $250 worth of energy-saving products at no cost to you. These energy-efficiency boosting products include LED light bulbs, water heater pipe insulation, faucet aerators, and efficient-flow shower heads.
STEP 3 – Your Aire Serv representative will review the Home Energy Assessment Report with you in detail. Discuss the energy-efficient home improvements you want to make, and your Aire Serv professional will explain the available incentives and HVAC rebates. Please understand that Aire Serv must install qualified products and/or equipment for your home to qualify for our program incentives.
STEP 4 – Once you have discussed your intended upgrades with your Aire Serv representative and signed the agreement for the work to be done, we submit your paperwork to Energize Delaware. Your contractor will reserve your rebates for you. This step must be accomplished before the work begins.
STEP 5 – Once Aire Serv completes the work, your energy advisor will return to perform a final inspection, verifying that the work was done correctly. We will notify you if your project is randomly selected for a quality assurance review by the Energize Delaware team.
STEP 6 – Following final inspection, Aire Serv will submit the documentation required to complete your rebate application. You will receive your rebate check within 6-8 weeks after your completed application’s approval.
Please note: If your house has health or safety issues or insufficient insulation quantity or quality, these shortcomings may need to be rectified to ensure your eligibility for program incentives. If we discover any concerns, we will review them with you.
